NEW BEAT FREE TAPE "INSTRUMENTALITY"

AM:PM team member Mark K shows you his daily thoughts, moods, and mentalities through this project, which is why it is titled "Instrumentality". You (the listener) gets to see what goes on through this kid's head by hearing his mentality through instrumentals (if that makes any f***ing sense??) Anyways the tape has all types of beats from gritty south beats, to experimental stuff,  to underground/sample based beats, club bangers, mellow type stuff and more. So check out it below and download it in full and bump that ish everywhere.

***This is a free project released by AM:PM Inc. All tracks were produced and mixed by Mark K himself. Artists and listeners may download the beat tape for free.. pop it in the whip and cruise with the homeys while ciphering, sit back burn one and enjoy the tunes, or if your an artist; record over the instrumentals with your vocals and create a song for your upcoming albums/mixtapes/whatever.. as long as it's non commercial.

Artists using the beats on "Instrumentality" may only use them for PROMOTIONAL/NON PROFITABLE USE. Full / exclusive rights to the instrumentals are still owned by Mark K.
Production Credit must be given by artist if any of the selected beats contain no watermark/voice tag/voice signature on them.

Dope iPhone App: "Hipstamatic" Camera

So I was lurking on facebook and noticed some dope pictures my homie Cutty Lue had uploaded on his facebook, I checked them out and was really intrigued. He stated that the pics were taken with an iPhone application called "Hipstamatic". I went to the app store on my iPhone and bought it for only $1.99 and it was definitely worth it. What is really bad ass about the app is that you can pretty much customize the camera by switching the different types of lens, film canisters, flashes, and even the virtual camera case. Depending on which way you customize the camera before taking a picture determines what effects will show up on the pic.. In my opinion the camera kind of gives off a "vintage" or old school type look to each shot you take. I'm not trying to be a photographer or anything but I went crazy when i first downloaded this app and took a shit ton of pics.. Next time me and the homies do a photo-shoot I am definitely going to have the photographer take some shots with this. You can check out the app @ http://hipstamaticapp.com/. Peep some of the pics I took below.. If you wanna see more pictures I took with this app go to my facebook album @ http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=28753&id=1740109650

I was very impressed by this grindtime westcoast compilation cd.. If you are familiar with Grindtime and the battle rap scene you are probably familiar with the Fresh Coast.. The Fresh Coast is basicly the West Coast hip hop scene mostly repped by battle rappers of all kinds.. This CD is actually the 2nd series of the "Non Perishables" and in my opinion it is better than the 1st, however the 1st cd was really dope.. Although this compilation was put togethor by the west coast division of Grindtime they actually have a couple guest from the Ozone (orlando) such as Kap Kallous (GT FL Host) and MyGrane McNastee (dope MC from orlando/GT Judge). The beat production and studio quality of the tracks are fire, production ranges from west coast producer veterans such as Chase Moore and Phillipdrummond aswell as ill peeps such as Skylar G, Cav3, and Northern Lights. Now I'm not going to go down the track list and rate each track but I will share my opinion as too which tracks are definately dope and worth peeping first.. The CD overall is pretty sick, none of the songs suck but here the ones that caught my attention the most and had me nodding my head..

Track #4: Illmaculate "Kicks to the Hat" This track is str8 fire, the producer Northern Lights went in on the beat for sure.. It's an anthem type track and Illmaculate does what he does best over ill beats.. spits some ill shit.. this track is definately one of the best on the cd.

Track #5: Animal Planet (Passwurdz and Apes) ft. Okwerdz "Get em Up" Another dope track with a party type vibe with a serious laid back beat.. AP and Okwerdz always make a great collaberation and this is yet another sick song by them.

Track #6: Fredo "Food for the Gods" Okay damn, my man Fredo seriously went in on this shit... I mean the dude is a dope battle rapper but even doper when it comes to making a song.. he is for sure underrated.. Ya'll need to watch out for Fredo.. by the way the beat is ill.. nice sample.

Track #8: Intuition, Ex-I & Nocando "All I Got" To be quite honest I really wasn't feeling the verse Intuition had on "Non Pershables Vol 1" on the song with VerBz (from swimteam).. But I never judge rappers off of just one song, and on this song he definately went in aswell as NocanDo and Ex-i.. The beat is gives off a mellow type vibe and the song itself has a real deep/dope concept.. the hook is my favorite part of the song but the MC's rip it too.. Ex-I always bringing the dopeness and it's nice to see NocanDo on the album since he wasn't on the first..

Track #9 Counter Productive "Brain Tissue" Holy shit is this song banging.. Definately one of the tracks that just make you wanna jump up and punch someone in the face.. Dirtbag Dan is a great battle MC aswell as a good song maker, the other people in this group are also dope, and the beat is fire.. awsome track, I'd have to say this is probably my favorite track on the CD..

Track #12 Sahtyre, Real Reid & Roch "Thas Cold" Okay now this track is bumpin for sure.. the beat is insane, chorus is dope, and all the MC's go in with lyrical content.. Sahtyre killing ish as usual..

Track #17 Dumbfoundead, Open Mike Eagle & DJ Zo "Think Too Much" Wow.. I'm a big fan of Dumbfoundead's music and this is probably one of my favorite songs that I have heard from him.. On this track he is accompanied by the founder of the Swimteam Crew; Open Mike Eagle aswell as his infamous DJ - DJ Zo. The concept of the song is pretty much about manning up, taking risk, and going for what you want instead of thinking too much of what can or can't happen.. Dope.

Track #21 Franco "Roll With the Punches" Damn the homie franco goes in on this one displaying lots of dope punchlines and lyricism.. Producer Phillipdrummond produced such a sick beat for this track.. his sampling is sooo crazy.. this track was perfect for the end b/c it goes out with a bang.

Like I said the whole cd itself is badass, definately better then the 1st.. 21 songs for 9.99 (good deal) on Itunes (theres a link above). The songs I did not review are pretty ill, check it out for yourself.. Overall I give Fresh Coast Non Perishables Vol. 2 a 8.5/10... Goodjob guys.. If you like Grindtime you should purchase this CD too support the movement.. These guys are giving away free entertainment through dope battles, if you are a fan help 'em out! Support real hip hop artists and support a company like Grindtime that actually cares about the battle rap scene and cares about hip hop.. they're an Independent company started by real artists that actually care about the music, unlike a lot of these corparate business that try to ruin our music..
